CFP RSVP Market Opens for 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship

OptionIt, the leading provider of access to the most in-demand sporting events, in a multi-year arrangement with the College Football Playoff (CFP), today announced the launch of its CFP RSVP platform, an early reservation marketplace that allows fans to reserve face-value tickets to the College Football Playoff National Championship to be held Monday, January 8, 2018, at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

CFP RSVP brings fans an engaging experience, allowing active buying and selling of ticket reservations throughout the season. Through the OptionIt platform, any fan holding an RSVP for a team that advances to the College Football Playoff National Championship will be guaranteed the right to purchase a ticket for face-value, forgoing the expensive secondary market.

Starting Tuesday, August 8, 2017, fans nationwide can go to www.cfp-rsvp.com to purchase an RSVP to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship. If the selected team wins a Playoff Semifinal, fans with an RSVP will be charged for a face-value ticket. If the team does not advance, the RSVP expires and the fan forfeits only the RSVP fee.

RSVPs are available for 100 Level seats, starting at only $24. After purchasing an RSVP, fans have the option to relist and sell for any price of their choosing. OptionIt’s platform ensures all options are securely held and individually accounted for, eliminating the risk of fraud.

“We are pleased to offer fans the ability to affordably reserve face-value tickets,” said Bill Hancock, Executive Director of the CFP. “We want to provide an opportunity for as many fans possible to attend the national championship game, and CFP RSVP eliminates the uncertainty of ticket availability for many fans.”

“OptionIt is proud to be in a long-term relationship with College Football Playoff. We expect to increase fan engagement and demand while providing a unique avenue for both marketing and incremental revenue,” said Timothy Boyle of OptionIt. “While fans typically clamor for access to astronomically expensive tickets on secondary markets, the average fan can now save money by buying RSVPs. The OptionIt market, including CFP RSVP, is a pre-primary market, which seeks to protect rights-holders from losses incurred by the ever-burgeoning secondary market, while captivating teams’ biggest fans.”
